Emily studies restorative responses to youth sexual violence. Following a long line of feminist organizers, their work argues that consent education is a crucial practice for realizing leftist visions of community sovereignity. In turn, she focuses on how communities can develop consent education programs outside of state-based avenues, particularly among young people. Their research was endowed by the Laidlaw Foundation, and they're currently working under CDC-RFA-CE-24-0068.
